first print editions of the plays, which were in 'repertoire' collection
only as manuscripts.
Owing the efforts and authority of A.Polyakov, who was the editor of
the Herald of the Petrograd Theatres and the Yearbook of the State Academic
Theatres, the library began to acquire all kinds of memoirs and other original
documents on the history of Russian Theatre. The archive and private collections
department based on these materials. |
