Alexander N. Kulinsky

born in 1953

In 1980 graduated from the Leningrad State University, Department of History. Since 1974 was interested in the history of arms presently employed in the military-Historical Museum of Artillery (St.-Petersburg). Chief-Curator, Custodian of the Department of Edged Weapons (more than 10000 objects).

Author of the book "Identification-guide of Edged Weapons of the Russian Army and Fleet in XIX-XX centuries" intended for museum workers, collectors, artists, etc. Main interest: research in the history of russian and european edged weapons of the XVIII-XX centuries.

Affiliation: Exsequtive Secretary of the All-Union Association of the Historians of the Arms, established in 1990. Since 1986 participated in various conferences on the topic in question. Member of the Editorial Board of such magazines as "OREL" responsible for the section "Arms history".

In 1991 was invited by the Hungarian Military Historical Museum to visit Hungary. My articles were published in the Finnish Magazine "ASE"
